Terri Dawe, LCSW

Terri Dawe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 25 years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups.   She attended the University of South Carolina for her undergraduate degree and Rutgers University for her MSW.  In addition, Terri completed a Post Master’s certificate program in Marriage and Family Therapy at The Family Institute (currently, The Multicultural Family Institute).  Terri has worked with adolescents, adults, and families in outpatient settings as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor for clinical staff and graduate interns. She has experience in treating depression, anxiety, family issues, grief, trauma, life transitions and stress management.  Terri also spent a good portion of her career as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional providing brief solution-focused therapy to employees and consults to employers.

Terri believes in meeting clients where they are at and working collaboratively to develop coping strategies and resolution of emotional distress.  She utilizes a strength-based, client-centered approach in conjunction with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy to work towards the client’s individual goals.
