Danielle Van Der Veken, LPC

Danielle Van Der Veken is licensed by the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She earned her Master’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kean University.

Danielle has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in the individual and group setting. Danielle has worked exclusively with women in a long-term residential inpatient program for five years. Prior to this Danielle worked with adolescents who were inpatient as well, along with working part-time at the intensive outpatient level of care. Full time, Danielle works with adolescents as a Student Assistance Counselor (SAC). Danielle is knowledgeable in the areas of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

As a therapist, Danielle incorporates a wide range of techniques into her practice. Danielle has engaged in trauma-informed training, the Nurtured Heart approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational interviewing. Danielle is currently pursuing her certificate to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), along with her certificate to be certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and applying for her LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor). Danielle is an eclectic therapist who looks forward to working with you.
