Theresa Lotano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Marist College and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University (New Brunswick). While pursuing her degree at Rutgers, Theresa also completed the Violence Against Women and Children Certificate Program (VAWC-CP).
Theresa is experienced working with children, adolescents, individual adults, and families who are struggling with a range of challenges. Some treatment issues Theresa specializes in include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, adjustment issues/life transitions, self-harm, parenting skills/parent-child dynamics, and grief/loss.
While Theresa does not believe in a one-size-fits-all model; she is both personally and professionally committed to creating a safe space built on empathy, compassion, trust, empowerment, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard for every client with whom she has the privilege of working with.
