MaryAnn is a Licensed Associate Counselor. MaryAnn completed her undergraduate education at Pace University and obtained a Master’s degree from Montclair State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed her post-graduate training with a focus on various therapeutic approaches with a diverse client population. MaryAnn has clinical work experience in both outpatient and intensive outpatient settings, specifically working with high risk individuals with the goal of stabilization in the community. MaryAnn has additional experience providing short-term case management, supportive therapy, and psychotherapy services to support and respond to clients’ additional needs.
MaryAnn has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families using various theoretical models and techniques. MaryAnn draws from diverse theoretical orientations in her clinical work and is experienced working with a broad range of presenting problems, including counseling and safety planning for high-risk individuals diagnosed with but not limited to MDD, OCD, ADHD, GAD, BPD, Adjustment Disorders, Bipolar Disorders. MaryAnn has provided counseling for adults affected by trauma; struggling with depression, anxiety, and self-harm.
MaryAnn uses various mindfulness and body-awareness techniques to assist clients with decreasing symptoms. She integrates the principles of cognitive behavior therapy with various mindfulness techniques. MaryAnn utilizes therapeutic resources to engage clients in establishing and demonstrating strategies to meet treatment goals. She has experience working with CBT, MI, and REBT to provide a new perspective on personal, professional, and other life challenges.
