Danielle Mercado is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ramapo College with a minor in neuroscience. She graduated from Rutgers University with her Master of Social Work.
Danielle’s professional background consists of working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness in both residential and case management settings. Danielle also has experience in psychoeducational groups for children with anxiety, as well as DBT groups for adolescents and adults. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and family therapy to address anxiety, depression, ODD, and life challenges.
Danielle utilizes a person-centered approach to meet each client where they are at with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy interventions and solution-focused techniques. She also implements the use of DBT skills, especially mindfulness, to help clients manage distressing symptoms and regulate the nervous system. Danielle believes each person is the expert of their own life and strives to help guide individuals and families in navigating their unique journeys.
