Holistic Healing and Wellness Group
This group will provide holistic interventions that help individuals cultivate healing at the root of trauma and promote wellness and balance of body, mind and spirit. The group will allow participants to learn how to reconcile with past wounds while building a new foundation of overall wellbeing in the present in a therapeutic environment.
Week 1
Introduction, rules and expectations. Review of the History of Holistic Practices and brief review of healing the whole person. Utilizing a mind body spirit approach to promote healing and finding individual pathways.
Week 2
A brief review of the physiology of stress and interventions and activities based when your biography becomes your biology.
Week 3
Open Support and Discussion
Week 4
Understanding human suffering and social stresses. Interventions and activities to help identify how to understand and reduce social stressors.
Week 5
Open Support/Discussion
Basic understanding of the chakras. Interventions and activities to help discover where we individually carry stress in the body and explore external contributors and interpersonal relationships. Healing methods, meditations, affirmations and mindfulness.
Week 6

Week 7
Spirituality and Pathologies. Exploring emotional health and symptoms and distinguishing root causes of symptomology and possible disconnects in spiritual life. Interventions and activities will help group members identify deeper meaning in life to promote stronger relationships with self esteem and self-efficacy.
Week 8

Week 9
Increasing Self Care. Developing a strong relationship with self to reduce patterns of behavior that seek approval and reduce boundaries in interpersonal and external relationships.
Week10

Compassion, Agap. The need for connectedness and community. Interventions will promote healing when expanding compassion outside of ourselves and cultivate healing through feeling connected with others while maintaining self care.
Week 12
Open Support/Discussion
Close and introduction to discipline in daily routine, wellness, nutrition. Activities and interventions will help group members to include and eliminate foods to meet individual needs and improve relationships with food. Also create their own daily disciplines to help maintain wellness emotionally and physically.
