Allison Layman is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from William Paterson University and received her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Centenary University in 2022. During her master’s program, she worked with individuals facing substance use and co-occurring disorders at the partial-hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. She then transitioned to a residential specialty level of care, working with adolescents, before joining the Calm and Sense Therapy Team.
Allison has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with life transitions, anxiety, depression, oppositional behavior, and substance use. Her approach is client-centered, integrating evidence-based modalities of therapy, including Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
