
Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College, a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, and a Post-Master’s certificate in Professional Counseling from the Rutgers School of Health Professions, Brandon Orevillo is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of New Jersey.
Offering a wide range of work and life experience outside of formal education, spanning waiting tables and food service to five years of emergency response work, all of which form the basis for creating authentic and approachable sessions and building rapport with the diverse backgrounds clients come from.
While in school, Brandon worked with a strength-based family treatment team, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to assist families in navigating a multitude of struggles. Brandon is also passionate about sport and performance psychology and draws on these interests in therapy sessions to emphasize the client’s unique strengths.
Brandon has experience working with families and individuals of all ages, as well as with anxiety, depression, mindfulness counseling, self-esteem counseling, life transitions, and men’s mental health. He emphasizes a humanistic and existential approach that centers on the client’s lived experience and individual potential for positive change.
