Lisa Lucas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience in working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues. These include anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional defiance and conduct disorders, trauma, grief and loss, different forms of abuse, and adjustment disorders. Lisa also is knowledgeable in the fields of learning disorders and special education, autism, adoption and foster care, and separation divorce/blended families.
Lisa focuses on determining what treatment will work best for each client’s particular needs and goals and then utilizes a variety of techniques and interventions to enable this to happen including client centered, strength based, cognitive behavioral, therapy, family systems theory, psychoeducation, play therapy, and mindulness approaches.
Lisa received her Masters degree in social work from Rutgers University. She also has advanced certification in Adoption Studies from Rutgers, and is a member of the NJ and National Association of Social Workers.
